This archive features highlights from my journey, showcasing a selection of projects & accomplishments that reflect my growth, skills, and dedication. These works offer a glimpse into the knowledge and creativity I’ve applied throughout my studies.

IT Projects

Soap Co. Inventory Management System (2024)

I created a simple inventory management system using VB.NET for the interface and design, with Microsoft Access as the database. The system includes essential CRUD operations, allowing users to add, update, delete, and view products. The code incorporates SQL queries to interact with the database, ensuring efficient data handling and retrieval.

"Save Nemo" - Interactive Multimedia Game (2024)

"Save Nemo" is a game created with Scratch, where players guide Nemo up, down, left, and right to dodge jellyfish and navigate the ocean safely. The project incorporates interactive visuals, sound effects, and block-based coding to enhance player engagement. Through this project, I gained experience in multimedia design, storyboarding, and the application of block-based programming for game mechanics.

QUB Annual Fund Award: Kadazandusun Traditional Costume Collaboration (2023)

In 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to introduce my Kadazandusun heritage to Belfast, leading a dance performance at the Titanic Hotel and the Europa Hotel as a representative of Queen's International Student Society and the Malay Club. Serving as team leader and dance instructor, I collaborated with Liamog Magill, the President of the Traditional Craft Society, on a project funded by a £1,000 grant from Queen's University Belfast to create traditional Kadazandusun costumes from scratch here in the UK. Together, we worked meticulously to sew and assemble each piece, which our team proudly wore during the performance, bringing the vibrant culture of Borneo to the island of Ireland. This project was a proud moment for me, not only did I have the chance to share my culture with friends, but also to introduce it to the people of Belfast.

Below are pictures that capture the dedication and teamwork it took to bring this project to life.

Community Contributions

Orphanage Volunteer Program

During my foundation year, I volunteered at a local orphanage, organizing indoor and outdoor educational games for children aged 2-12. We also helped clean the residential area and donated essential supplies based on their needs. I was given the opportunity to arrange T-shirts for my classmates as part of our volunteer initiative, which added to the spirit of teamwork.

Media Outreach

I’m passionate about helping Malaysian students understand the UK university application process. Through media outreach, I created a step-by-step guide, which has now reached over 8.5k views on YouTube and received numerous positive comments. I hope this video continues to support and inspire those looking to study abroad.

Academic Work

LLB Dissertation

In response to Mahsa Amini's death, I chose to research Iran's mandatory hijab laws and their impact on women’s rights. This dissertation explores the historical, social, and legal aspects of veiling in Iran, examining how these laws limit women’s freedoms and affect their daily lives.
